The South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program (SAVLP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free legal assistance in certain civil matters to low income residents of Mobile, Baldwin, Washington and Clarke counties.

If you think you may qualify as low-income under the program’s financial guidelines, please contact SAVLP.  You can apply for services by telephone (438-1102), online  or in person.  Office hours are 8:30 am- 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, but you can access the online application anytime.

The SAVLP also provides free legal assistance to community based organizations that improve the lives of the SAVLP client base and contribute to the revitalization of Mobile, Baldwin, Clark and Washington counties.  See our Community Economic Development application for more information.

Through the Wills for Heroes project, SAVLP attorneys provide free basic estate planning services to firefighter, police and emergency personnel.  Please contact us by telephone or e-mail regarding the 2012 schedule.
